Register of candidates: 2025 Calgary General Election

Any person who intends to be nominated or has been nominated to run for election as a candidate must give written notice to Elections Calgary.

The following people have given notice that they intend to run as a candidate in the 2025 municipal election.

*Note - The records location address is the place or places where records of the individual are maintained and of the place to which communications may be addressed. Location is not published if it’s a personal address.

Nomination Day: Sept 22, 2025 at noon

Election Day: Oct. 20, 2025

What is the difference between a nominated candidate vs a registered candidate?

Nominated candidate: To appear on the ballot, a person must file official nomination papers during the Nomination Period. Once these papers are accepted, they are listed as a "nominated candidate" on ElectionsCalgary.ca.

Registered candidate: A person can submit a written notice of intent to be nominated in order to accept contributions or incur a campaign expenses. The notice of intent to be nominated can be submitted either before or with the nomination papers. Once the notice is accepted, they are listed as a "registered candidate" on ElectionsCalgary.ca.
