Political participants
Political participants in Calgary's city elections are regulated by Alberta's Local Authorities Election Act (LAEA). Political participants include:
- candidates;
- local political parties;
- slates; and
- third party advertisers.
Campaign disclosure statements
Candidates, third party advertisers and local political parties are required to submit campaign disclosure statements no later than Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 4:30 p.m. The legislated deadline of Sept. 30 becomes Oct. 1 due to the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
You do not need an appointment. You can drop off your campaign disclosure documents at our office (2340 22nd Street N.E.) during the following times:
- Friday, September 26 - between 8:30am-4:30pm
- Monday, September 29 - between 8:30am-4:30pm
- Tuesday, September 30 - OFFICE CLOSED.
- Wednesday, October 1 - between 8:30am-4:30pm
